Burns Bridge vista

This is how the view looked from Belmont Street about a week ago; there’s now a crane up.

As Tracy has mentioned before, it’s really rather sad that there’s a large parcel — the White City plaza — that doesn’t look out onto the lake.

It’ll be nice when the restore full flow around the west side of the island instead of it being a stagnant dumping ground for shopping carts. It’s too bad there won’t be pedestrian access to the island anymore, but that was always a little sketchy.

I took a walk onto the island just yesterday. Found a ”living room” set up there, including a rug from our business that was left out overnight and disappeared. There should be pedestrian access, one way or another.
