First Public Meeting on City Manager search – Feb 13

The city has announced that the first of five listening sessions for the city manager search will be held next Thursday:

This meeting is an opportunity for the general public to provide input into the process of selecting a City Manager. The Committee shall conduct a total of five listening sessions; one in each of the five City Council districts. This meeting is scheduled to be convenient for residents in District 3.

Valentine Making Workshop at Crompton Collective, Saturday, February 8th, 12-1pm

According to local folklore Esther Howland, while a student at Mount Holyoke College in 1847, received an English valentine. This valentine would inspire her to begin selling valentines of her own design. For nearly 100 years Worcester was at the heart of the American valentine industry. Learn more about Worcester’s valentine story and make your own in the style of Esther Howland as Worcester Historical Museum and Crompton Collective partner for a special valentine workshop.
