CWW: Give Away Your Stuff Day

Saturday, May 12 is the official Give Away Your Stuff Day.

Once again, the Sawyer Hill Ecovillage in Berlin is going to be having a multi-family giveaway in honor of the day.

Info:

Going out on the tag-sale circuit this weekend?  Swing by Sawyer Hill Ecovillage (http://sawyerhill.org/directions) for completely free stuff, as part of our annual celebration of Give Your Stuff Away Day!

GYSA is a national/international holiday which has been spreading the last few years — for more info, see http://giveyourstuffaway.com/  — and in most places, it involves goods being set out at the curb.  Because our ecovillage is built around pedestrian pathways, we use the pathways instead.  Come visit our neighborhoods, looking for goods along the walking paths.  (They’ll be in boxes or spread out on blankets/tarps as at a yard sale; items on or near porches, in carports, and in other areas are NOT okay to take.)

If it’s raining or threatening to, we’ll consolidate all the free stuff at the Mosaic Common House, 22 Village Lane. The giveaway begins at 9 am and lasts till 1 pm.

(I will likely NOT go, but if anyone does go and can pick up books to donate to the Give and Take at Union Station, I would appreciate it!)

Don’t peek

Someone doesn’t want you peeking at the new downtown escape route through the old mall:

The T&G has already published a photo today taken from a hgher vantage in the Sovereign Bank tower, so the curtain here is fairly pointless.
