On Sunday, Dianne Williamson wrote that “The Tea Party seems particularly fond of waving posters of Barack Obama with a Hitler mustache.”
To continue my penchant of defending groups I really dislike, I would like to point out that it tends to be Lyndon Larouche fanatics, not Tea Partiers, who wave the Obama-with-Hitler-mustache posters.
You can easily tell the difference between the Tea Party protesters and the Lyndon Larouche protesters; the latter tend to be young kids (sometimes of color) who look like they’ve stumbled out of a frat party and into a hate rally, whereas the latter tend to be old white folks waving flags and posing for photo-ops with people dressed in tricorns and Colonial garb.
(Or…even simpler: Belmont Street = Lyndon Larouche. Lincoln Square = Tea Party.)
According to the minutes of the last Citizen Advisory Council meeting (which can be found here), future vacancy listings will include districts. I know this has been a request of the readership & I’m glad they’ll be doing it again.
They’ll also be discussing publicity possibilities at their next business meeting in July.
I’m going to be at the main branch of the Worcester Public Library tonight from 5:45-7:00pm to gather signatures for various candidates to appear on the ballot. I would really appreciate it if you came by to sign papers, complain about my blog (or wardrobe; I’m going for the “communist worker/spy” look today), or just say hi.
