Intercambio and Nemo

On Thursday, June 16th at 7:00pm at Francis Perkins Branch Library, there will be an informal meeting of people who want to practice their English or Spanish. People of all ages and levels are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.  (This will be the second meeting of the group, and you can find a bit more information here.)

[Incidentally, the Shrewsbury Public Library hosts a French Conversation Circle on the second Monday of every month at 4:00pm, and the fourth Monday of every month at 6:30pm.  This is something that’s always tempted me, but I haven’t yet been.  Has anyone participated in this?]

Also — tomorrow (Tuesday, June 14) night, is another Read to Nemo! event at the Children’s Room in the main library.

Nemo is a Newfoundland dog who is a certified therapy and rescue dog. Sit with him on his blanket and read to him. This is a great opportunity to encourage reluctant readers and to practice reading skills. Please join us for this wonderful experience. For ages 5-10. Ask at the Children’s Room desk or call 508-799-1671 for more information.
