Bookmobile, briefly

The town of Beverly recently had a party to welcome their new bookmobile.  While bookmobiles have been going through a marked decline in the past few decades, there’s been talk that Worcester might be acquiring a bookmobile.

What I find incredibly interesting is that Beverly purchased their bookmobile from a Worcester-based company which has been in business since 1940.  (In case you’re interested, here’s a list of the companies that manufacture bookmobiles, and you can price used bookmobiles here.  There’s also an association devoted to bookmobiles.)
