Public Meetings Galore

I’ve been on a bit of a blog holiday, but I wanted to let fellow transportation and parks nuts know about a few upcoming public meetings:

  • As Jack noted, MassDOT will be holding a hearing tomorrow, March 16, at 7:00pm in the Banx Room at the Worcester Public Library to discuss “the complete replacement of the Webster Street Bridge over the Middle River. The existing single span concrete arch bridge will be replaced with a new single span precast concrete bridge in the same location. During reconstruction the bridge will be open to one lane of bi-directional traffic and one of the two sidewalks will be kept open.”  There are more details in this document.
  • MassDOT will hold a public information meeting regarding the Kenneth F. Burns Bridge Replacement Project on Tuesday, March 29th, from 6:30-8:30pm.  The meeting will take place at the Shrewsbury Town Hall, located at 100 Maple Avenue in Shrewsbury.  For more information about this meeting, please click here.  (This will be of especial interest to my elder son, who keeps asking me when construction will begin on the new bridge; I keep reminding him that the blogger is the last to know.)
  • The Crompton Park Master Plan will be brought to the Parks and Recreation Commission on Thursday, March 31, at 7:00pm.

Does anyone know of other meetings of interest to the readership?
