Bunker, sweet bunker

Not something you’d see from the front seat of a Worcester cab, but something a wandering Worcesterite might see in their travels to strange places like New Hampshire . . .

Years ago I used to travel with my husband to New Hampshire on a regular basis.  Near the Hannaford Supermarket on Coliseum Avenue in Nashua we often drove past this:

We took to calling it “the bunker”.  I’m not entirely sure what’s in there — perhaps some electrical equipment or plumbing for the apartment complex that’s located nearby.  There’s no access door/panel that I can see, however, so perhaps it can only be reached by secret tunnel.  Anyway, it looks like a comfy spot to weather a nuclear holocaust, and there’s a convenient hydrant nearby in case you spontaneously combust or something.
